Shovel Knight Project
This project is based on the Shovel Knight series of video games. The goal was to design a 'boss knight' for the game based on an ecological issue.
I personally chose the theme of deforestation because of its greater impact in the long run. I then began to draw some concepts for the knight and environment.
I then chose one of my knight concepts and built upon it with more concepts and key art.
I decided to name the knight "Timber Knight" as a reference to the type of wood.

The final task was drawing the sprites and animations for Timber Knight. All of the sprite work is shown below, in a similar style to the official Shovel Knight art style.

I also decided to create the environment for Timber Knight's arena as a stretch goal. The premise is a forest at night. The two tree stumps on the ground would act as platforms.
